HBO has released a new official trailer for its upcoming television adaptation of the Harry Potter series, showcasing the first extensive look at the reboot. The first season, titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, is scheduled to premiere on Christmas Day, December 25, 2026, across HBO and Max. The newly unveiled footage features multiple key set pieces adapted from J.K. Rowling’s opening novel. The sequence opens with Professor McGonagall, played by Janet McTeer, guiding first-year students into the Great Hall for the Sorting Ceremony. Newcomer Dominic McLaughlin, cast as Harry Potter, is shown undergoing the sorting process alongside Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
