Heavy metal band Bad Wolves experienced a major lineup change after guitarist AJ Rebollo announced his resignation. The departure follows an intense dispute between band members and their record label, Better Noise Music, concerning the upcoming commercial release of a heavy metal cover of Dolly Parton's classic hit song Jolene. According to the group, the track was originally recorded with intentions for Parton to provide guest vocals. Following Parton's recent death at the age of eighty after battling cancer, the artists formally requested that the label shelve the tribute project out of profound respect. Despite these direct objections, the record label chose to proceed with publishing the track, dedicating a portion of proceeds to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library charity organization. Rebollo publicly stated that this controversial label decision represented the final breaking point in his musical tenure, citing severe concerns regarding timing and corporate motivations surrounding the entire release.
