Selena Gomez Fights Back Against Fraud Lawsuit with Explosive Legal Move

Actress and entrepreneur Selena Gomez has filed a motion to dismiss a fraud lawsuit brought by five investors who injected approximately $1.2 million into her mental health startup, Wondermind Global. The investors filed the complaint alleging securities fraud, common-law fraud, and breach of contract, claiming Gomez failed to develop the brand as promised and caused financial distress. Represented by attorney Mathew S. Rosengart, Gomez's legal team characterized the allegations as absurd and frivolous. The motion asserts that Gomez agreed to support her mother but never held operational management duties within the firm. Management responsibilities rested with co-founder Mandy Teefey and a separate co-CEO, while Gomez retained the titles of consultant and Chief Impact Officer. Gomez's defense is exploring potential sanctions against the plaintiffs for including her in the litigation. No trial date has been established as the court reviews the motion to dismiss.
