Skild AI Launches S1 Robotics Foundation Model

Pittsburgh based artificial intelligence firm Skild AI officially announced the launch of its flagship S1 robotics foundation model on August twenty sixth, two thousand twenty six. Designed for contextual learning, the architecture enables physical robots to execute complex tasks lasting up to ten minutes from a single human video prompt without requiring prior training exposure. Founders Abhinav Gupta and Deepak Pathak reported a sixty six percent success rate on unseen tasks during evaluations, vastly outperforming traditional vision language action models. Demonstrations highlighted multi step physical activities including pancake flipping, coffee preparation, and kit assembly across diverse robotic hardware. The release follows a massive one point four billion dollar Series C funding round led by SoftBank Group in January two thousand twenty six, valuing the enterprise at over fourteen billion dollars.
