Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee during an individual offseason workout and is expected to miss six months, ESPN reported on August 24, 2026. The 23-year-old guard will undergo surgery, aiming for a late February 2027 return around the NBA All-Star break. Sharpe is entering the first year of a four-year, $90 million extension after averaging a career-high 20.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals across 50 regular-season games in 2025–26. This marks his second consecutive season affected by a major leg injury following a stress fracture in his left fibula that cost him 28 games. Despite Sharpe's absence, Portland maintains depth in a crowded backcourt that includes Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, Jrue Holiday, and Scoot Henderson. The Trail Blazers have not released an official long-term recovery timetable beyond the six-month projection.
