Klay Thompson Officially Agrees to Two-Year Deal With Miami Heat

Veteran guard Klay Thompson has officially signed with the Miami Heat following a buyout agreement. The shooting guard agreed to a two year contract worth nearly thirteen million dollars total. Thompson cleared league waivers after parting ways with the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week. He previously played sixty nine games averaging eleven points per contest last season. His perimeter shooting adds crucial floor spacing for the Eastern Conference championship contenders. In South Beach, Thompson joins superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and center Bam Adebayo on court. Team executives structured the agreement utilizing a portion of remaining exception salary cap space. The contract includes a player option for the second season of the deal. Thompson currently ranks fourth all time in made three point field goals league wide. Dallas reached a buyout agreement after failing to secure trade options this summer. Basketball training camps open soon across the entire professional sports league.
