Clemson senior defensive tackle Vic Burley has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Dabo Swinney following his arrest early Saturday on a disorderly conduct charge . The 6-foot-4, 315-pound former five-star recruit was taken into custody by the Clemson University Police Department. "We are extremely disappointed by his actions and decisions," Swinney stated . Burley, who recorded 15 tackles across 13 games in 2025, was expected to anchor a young defensive line this season . His suspension is a significant setback for the Tigers, who are already thin at the position due to injuries and departures . The absence comes just two weeks before Clemson's season opener against No. 11 LSU on Sept. 5 . There is currently no timetable for Burley's return to the team .
