Six time NBA All Star DeMar DeRozan has agreed to sign a single year contract with the Denver Nuggets for the veteran minimum of three point nine million dollars. The veteran forward enters his eighteenth professional season seeking an elusive championship with his fifth team. DeRozan previously played for the Sacramento Kings, averaging eighteen point four points last season. His arrival follows Denver trading player Peyton Watson to Cleveland in a multi team trade. DeRozan brings vital scoring depth and leadership to a roster targeting Western Conference supremacy. Sources familiar with the agreement confirmed the arrangement on condition of anonymity. The experienced scorer spent earlier years with Toronto, San Antonio, and Chicago. Denver management expects his shooting expertise and playmaking to complement Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. The official franchise announcement remains pending while financial parameters and roster spots are finalized under league collective bargaining agreement rules governing roster limits.
