Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins will miss the entire 2026 NFL season after suffering a torn ACL during a joint practice with the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday, according to multiple reports . NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport confirmed the diagnosis on Wednesday, citing sources . Higgins, 23, was injured during a red-zone drill when he fell awkwardly in the end zone and remained on the ground in pain . Teammates rushed to his side before medical staff arrived, and while a cart was brought out, Higgins was able to walk off the field under his own power and return to the locker room . The second-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft recorded 41 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games as a rookie . He was projected to start alongside Nico Collins . His absence leaves a significant void in Houston's receiving corps, especially with Tank Dell still recovering from a knee injury .
