Slipknot Splits With Sid Wilson
Heavy metal band Slipknot announced they are parting ways with longtime turntablist Sid Wilson after nearly three decades with the group. The separation was revealed through a brief statement posted to the band's official social media channels stating that they would no longer be associated with Wilson, effective immediately. The post was subsequently removed from the group's profiles. Representatives for the band did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the reasons behind the departure. Wilson, known by his numerical designation 0, joined Slipknot in 1998 and served as a key member of the nonet's lineup. His exit follows a series of high-profile lineup changes within the band in recent years, including the departures of percussionist Chris Fehn in 2019, and keyboardist Craig Jones and drummer Jay Weinberg in 2023. Neither Wilson nor the band's representatives have issued further public statements.
