The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran unrestricted free-agent linebacker Elandon Roberts to a one-year, $3 million contract during free agency to bolster their defensive front. Negotiated by agent Drew Rosenhaus and reported by ESPN, the transaction addresses critical depth needs following the departure of former starting linebacker Robert Spillane. Roberts, 30, arrives with nine years of NFL experience, including two Super Bowl championships with New England, along with stints in Miami and Pittsburgh. During the previous regular season, he appeared in all 17 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording 46 total tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble while logging a 44 percent defensive snap share as a run-stopping specialist. The contract provides Las Vegas with a cost-effective, proven middle-field communicator and early-down anchor as the franchise reorganizes its linebacking core under defensive coordinator Patrick Graham.
