Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen approaches 5,000 rushing yards | JQJO

Buffalo, New York – Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is closing in on a significant NFL milestone as he approaches 5,000 career rushing yards, a mark that only four other quarterbacks have reached. Entering the upcoming season, Allen has accumulated 4,721 rushing yards and needs 279 more on the ground to reach the benchmark, underscoring his importance as both a passer and rusher in the Bills’ offense. Since being selected in the first round of the 2018 draft, he has paired elite arm strength with a bruising, physical running style, consistently challenging defenses with his ability to make plays outside the pocket and on designed runs.

Buffalo, New York – Allen’s impending milestone places him on the verge of joining an exclusive group of dual-threat quarterbacks who have redefined the position, alongside Lamar Jackson, Michael Vick, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson, the only other players at the position to surpass 5,000 rushing yards. His production on the ground has resulted in substantial yardage totals and numerous rushing touchdowns, strengthening his reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic and physically imposing signal-callers. As the Bills enter another season with high expectations, Allen’s pursuit of the 5,000-yard rushing mark stands out as a key storyline for both fans and analysts tracking his evolving legacy.
