Cooperstown hosts Hall inductions for Beltrán, Jones, Kent

In Cooperstown, New York, on Sunday, former Major League Baseball stars Carlos Beltrán, Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent were inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame before an estimated 12,000 fans at the Clark Sports Center. Fifty-seven existing Hall of Famers joined them on stage, forming the largest gathering of living inductees at the ceremony. Jones, a 10-time Gold Glove center fielder and five-time All-Star, became the first Hall of Famer from Curaçao. In his address, he paid extended tribute to his homeland and to his late father, Henry Jones, crediting his rigorous childhood training for his defensive excellence.
