The United States has paused its bombing campaign against Iran after 13 consecutive nights of airstrikes, with no U.S. attacks reported since late Friday, according to U.S. officials and media reports. Iran, which had been responding each night with strikes on neighboring countries hosting U.S. bases, has also ceased attacks for two days. A senior Iranian official told Reuters on Sunday that Tehran will maintain the halt as long as the U.S. pause continues. U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz said President Donald Trump ordered the pause to create space for diplomacy, following advice from senior military and civilian aides.
