SEATTLE — Three people were killed and four others wounded Monday evening when an exchange of gunfire erupted at the Bite of Seattle food festival near the Space Needle, authorities said. The shooting began around 6:00 p.m. at Seattle Center during the final hours of the annual event, prompting chaos among hundreds of attendees and a rapid evacuation by emergency responders. Police working security moved toward the gunfire, detained one suspected shooter, and recovered two firearms. A second suspect remains at large as of Monday night. Victims include a two-year-old child and several adults treated for limb and abdominal injuries.
