San Francisco hosts $500 billion Nvidia–SK AI pact

Nvidia and South Korea’s SK Group have signed a partnership agreement worth more than $500 billion to build large-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure aimed at meeting rising global demand for computing power. Announced on July 26, 2026 at an AI summit in San Francisco, the deal includes letters of intent signed by corporate leaders and attended by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and other technology and government officials. The collaboration focuses on constructing gigawatt-scale AI factory facilities and a long-term supply and co-development arrangement for next-generation memory technologies, including advanced high-bandwidth memory from SK hynix for Nvidia’s Vera Rubin systems.
