New Jersey — Sean “Diddy” Combs has been placed in solitary confinement at FCI Fort Dix after an alleged altercation with another inmate earlier this week, according to TMZ. The 56-year-old rapper was reportedly involved in a physical scuffle after another prisoner allegedly insulted him, with the men said to have pushed each other and traded jabs before officers intervened and broke up the fight. Prison officials subsequently moved Combs into solitary confinement as a disciplinary measure. He has been serving a 50-month federal sentence following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and his transfer from MDC Brooklyn to the New Jersey facility in October 2025. Combs remains scheduled for release in April 2028, although he has appealed his sentence and sought immediate release, arguing that he was improperly sentenced. A federal judge has denied his request to overturn the conviction, and he continues to serve his term at FCI Fort Dix. At the time of his transfer, a representative said Combs was actively participating in the prison’s Residential Drug Abuse Program and was taking the program seriously. Separately, he faces a new civil lawsuit from a man who alleges he was sexually assaulted as a minor in 2007 after being invited to what was described as a networking event in the Hollywood Hills, claims that a spokesperson for Combs has denied.
