The Pentagon has confirmed that nearly 100 U.S. military personnel have been injured over the past two weeks as Iranian strikes on American positions intensify across the Middle East. Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said about 96% of the affected troops have already returned to duty, noting that most injuries were minor concussions. He rejected a New York Times report alleging that the Pentagon concealed casualty figures since renewed hostilities began on July 7. Officials also identified two soldiers killed in a missile strike on Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti air base last Friday, as the United States continues nightly strikes on Iranian targets.
