Louisiana: Prosecutor Dismisses Charges Against Attorney General

LOUISIANA – A special prosecutor in Louisiana on Wednesday dismissed felony intimidation charges against state Attorney General Liz Murrill, a Republican who had been accused of threatening and intimidating elected officials in New Orleans. The case centered on warning letters Murrill sent to Democratic leaders in the city, in which she asserted that officials could be removed from office if they defied state law.
