Actress and comedian Abby Elliott, known for her role as Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto on FX/Hulu’s The Bear, has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly ten years, television screenwriter and producer Bill Kennedy. Court documents filed in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 18, 2026, and reported by TMZ, cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Elliott, 39, lists July 8, 2026, as the couple’s separation date. She is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Edith, 5, and William, 3, spousal support from Kennedy, and payment of her legal fees, while requesting Kennedy be denied spousal support.
