Milwaukee – The Milwaukee School of Languages (MSL) girls flag football team has qualified for the NFL Flag Football Championships after winning the regional tournament held in Green Bay this past June. The victory capped a season of steady progress for the team and secured its place in a 32-team national field that will bring together some of the strongest girls flag football programs from across the United States. MSL’s performance at the regional level reflects the players’ technical development, teamwork, and resilience over the course of the season, as they advanced through local competition to earn their spot on the national stage. Milwaukee – MSL Athletic Director Robert Slavens said the achievement is an important milestone for both the team and the wider school community, noting that the student-athletes have worked extremely hard and supported one another throughout the season. He emphasized that their qualification for the NFL Flag Football Championships represents a well-earned opportunity to compete against top teams from around the country. The team’s success underscores the growing presence of girls flag football in Milwaukee and offers the players increased exposure, as well as experience against a higher level of competition in a nationally recognized event.
