United States-based BK Westbrook has emerged as a rising professional wrestling talent after navigating a series of early setbacks in his career. He began formal training at a wrestling school in North Carolina in 2018, only for the school to close, forcing him to find new opportunities. Westbrook then gained his first in-ring experience with Carolina Wrestling Federation Mid-Atlantic before the promotion abruptly shut down in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic created another major obstacle, temporarily halting his ability to perform and adding to the uncertainty that had already marked his entry into the industry. United States independent circuits have since become the foundation of Westbrook’s growing profile, as he responded to pandemic-era restrictions in North Carolina by seeking bookings in states such as Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia. He has wrestled for a range of prominent independent promotions, including Pandemonium Pro, Game Changer Wrestling, Limitless Wrestling, Deadlock Pro-Wrestling and TBD Wrestling, and has also made an appearance for All Elite Wrestling. Westbrook recently challenged Amira for the Pandemonium Pro Championship in Portland and is scheduled to compete at Pandemonium: Pro Wrestling’s "JoJo" event on Aug. 2, a show honoring the late Jordan Saint with proceeds going to Saint’s family.
