Seville: Tom Cruise prevents Samantha Harris motorcycle accident

Seville, Spain – Tom Cruise physically intervened to stop Samantha Harris from being crushed by a motorcycle during an adrenaline-filled promotional shoot for the 2010 film "Knight and Day," the television host recalled in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. Then working as an "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent, Harris said the segment was staged on a closed course lined with cameras and fans, where she was originally supposed to interview Cruise and then follow him in a chase car driven by a stunt professional. Instead, she asked to sit on the Ducati motorcycle Cruise was using for the promotion, despite having never ridden a motorcycle and only having experience mounting horses. Harris said she tried to get on the Ducati as she would a horse, placing her foot and swinging her leg over, causing the roughly 500-pound bike to tip in slow motion toward Cruise in front of thousands of onlookers. Before the motorcycle could fall, Cruise moved underneath it, caught it with both arms and pushed it upright, preventing what she believed could have been a serious on-set injury. He then calmly asked her to try again, instructing her to keep one foot planted on the ground as she mounted. Harris said the second attempt went smoothly, and Cruise later sped with her through the streets of Seville, calling it one of the most fun and memorable TV experiences of her interviewing career.
