United States – FIFA is selling small sections of the pitch from East Rutherford Stadium in New Jersey, where the upcoming World Cup final will be played, as official collector’s items for fans. The governing body is marketing the turf pieces as exclusive memorabilia from one of the world’s biggest sporting events, highlighting that each section comes sealed in acrylic glass to preserve its condition. The souvenir segments, which are described as unique collector’s items, are being promoted as a way for supporters to own a physical fragment of the venue that will host the deciding match of the tournament. United States – The items are available through FIFA’s official online shop at a price of about €390 each and include a USB stick alongside the encased turf. FIFA says the pitch sections will only be shipped after the final has been played, ensuring they come directly from the match surface used in the decisive game. The offer is currently limited to customers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, meaning fans in co-host nations Canada and Mexico cannot purchase the product for now despite their countries’ role in staging the tournament.
