Austin, Texas — On Thursday, July 9, Marcus Spears Jr., the No. 1-ranked prospect in the 2027 recruiting cycle, announced he reclassified to the 2026 class and committed to the University of Texas, choosing the Longhorns over finalists Arizona, Kentucky and LSU, ESPN reported.
