Kent coroner investigates singer Lauren Bennett death

Authorities in Kent, England are investigating the sudden death of British singer-songwriter Lauren Bennett, known for her vocals on the 2011 global hit "Party Rock Anthem" and as a member of pop group G.R.L. Public records show Bennett, 36, died on May 29, 2026, in the village of Meopham, Kent. The Kent and Medway Coroner Service opened a formal death investigation on June 12, 2026, with proceedings scheduled through October 30, 2026. A cause of death has not been disclosed. Her family held a private memorial in London in late June, and her passing was publicly announced on July 6, 2026, by surviving G.R.L. members.
