Collierville, Tennessee — Four-star athlete Tae Walden Jr. committed to the University of Oregon on Wednesday, announcing his decision during the Rivals Summer Signing Day show and confirming it to The Commercial Appeal on July 1. The 6-foot-2, 170–175-pound two-way player chose Oregon over Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss after official visits to each program.
Oregon coaches targeted Walden as a versatile contributor; he was offered by defensive coordinator Chris Hampton in January and took a final official visit to Eugene the weekend of June 19, completing visits on June 21. Rankings vary by service — including top-five athlete designations — and the commitment bolsters Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class immediately.
