Boston, United States — The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade star forward Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for forward Paul George and multiple draft picks, according to reports first emerging on Wednesday and confirmed on Thursday. Boston will receive two future first-round picks and two future second-round picks from Philadelphia, though exact years and protections have not yet been disclosed. The move ends Brown’s 10-year tenure in Boston, during which the Celtics made the playoffs every season, reached six Eastern Conference Finals and appeared in two NBA Finals. Brown joins a 76ers core featuring Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
