Los Angeles rapper Soulja Boy faces mounting $4.2 million judgment

Rapper DeAndre Cortez Way, known professionally as Soulja Boy, now owes approximately $4.2 million to an ex-girlfriend after largely failing to pay a civil judgment stemming from abuse-related claims, according to court documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. A civil jury previously found him liable for sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and related allegations brought by his former personal assistant, who later entered a two-year romantic relationship with him and filed suit under the pseudonym Jane Doe. The judgment is accruing interest at roughly $1,165 per day, and the plaintiff’s attorneys are seeking to sell Way’s music residuals and royalties to satisfy the debt.
