In Chicago on Saturday, June 27, 2026, singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix made an unannounced appearance at a wedding reception at the Adler Planetarium. The surprise visit was arranged after the bride’s brother, Mike Kindelin, sent Garrix a direct message on Instagram asking him to visit because his sister, Tessa Kindelin, could not attend Garrix’s nearby concert at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Sheeran had performed earlier at Soldier Field on his “LOOP Tour,” while Garrix was finishing a three-night run. After their shows, the artists traveled together to the reception, where guests recorded their entrance.
