Texas: JPMorgan cuts fraud jobs amid strong profits

JPMorgan Chase is eliminating 244 positions at its large corporate campus in Plano, Texas, primarily within its Consumer & Community Banking Fraud and Customer Protection Services inbound call center, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the Texas Workforce Commission. Employees were informed of the decision on June 23, 2026, and will receive the federally required 60-day notice period. The layoffs, which include 219 fraud specialists and supervisors, are scheduled to begin taking effect on August 21, 2026. The move comes as JPMorgan reports $16.5 billion in profit, drawing attention to workforce reductions amid strong financial performance.
