United States-based Micron Technology, the country’s largest computer memory chip manufacturer, reported blockbuster fiscal third-quarter results on June 25, 2026, as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure surged worldwide. The company said quarterly revenue soared fourfold from a year earlier to $41.46 billion, far above Wall Street forecasts, while adjusted earnings per share climbed to $25.11, also beating analyst estimates by a wide margin. Micron attributed the performance to strong orders for high-bandwidth memory and server-grade DDR5 RAM used in data centers and AI systems, underscoring the scale and pace of the current investment cycle in advanced computing hardware. United States-based Micron said it has secured 16 multi-year strategic supply agreements with major data center operators and automotive manufacturers, which together carry an estimated lifetime contract value of about $100 billion. The deals are structured as “take-or-pay” contracts that require customers to commit $22 billion in upfront payments to lock in future chip allocations, a model that shifts Micron away from a traditionally cyclical commodity business toward more stable, utility-like revenue streams tied to the global AI buildout. Following the earnings announcement, Micron shares jumped 15 percent, helping trigger a broad rally in semiconductor stocks worldwide and lifting major chip-focused exchange-traded funds as well as peers such as AMD, Western Digital and SK Hynix.
