Lionel Richie abruptly stopped the opening concert of his North American tour in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday night, June 24, 2026, after experiencing dizziness on stage. The 77-year-old singer was performing at the Grand Casino Arena during the first night of his co-headlining "Sing A Song All Night Long" tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. Witnesses and social media video show Richie becoming dizzy while singing "Dancing on the Ceiling," then sitting on a raised platform to finish the song before moving to a piano to perform "Three Times a Lady." After a brief announcement of an intermission, he left the stage and did not return. A touring musician later informed the audience that Richie was unwell and unable to continue, and advised that further information on ticket refunds would follow.
