Detroit — The Professional Women's Hockey League announced its draft order on Monday, placing PWHL Detroit third overall and allocating picks Nos. 3, 15, 27, 39, 51 and 63 for rounds one through six ahead of the league draft scheduled for Wednesday, June 17. Detroit also filled its 10-player roster this week by signing forward Ella Huber. Toronto Sceptres general manager Gina Kingsbury said this week she is eager to select among a deep, 236-player class that includes five U.S. Olympic gold medalists, led by Wisconsin defender and projected No. 1 pick Caroline Harvey. Media rankings and scouting reports circulated Monday indicate a consensus top-three that will be unavailable to several expansion teams at early picks.
