LAWRENCE — Oklahoma defeated Kansas 8-1 in Game 1 of the NCAA Super Regional on Saturday, outhitting the Jayhawks 11-4 and building an early lead through a fourth-inning error and multiple home runs by Dayton Tockey, Camden Johnson and Trey Gambill. Kansas scored a consolation solo homer from Jordan Bach in the eighth. The series’ second game, scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m. CT, was suspended at 8:41 p.m. due to lightning with Oklahoma leading 8-1 in the bottom of the third; Boede Rahe was on the mound facing Kyle Branch at suspension. Game 2 will resume Monday with Kansas facing elimination and Oklahoma one win from advancing.
