Raleigh defenseman McNabb hospitalized after facial puck strike

Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb was taken to a local hospital Thursday night after being struck in the face by an 87 mph slap shot during Game 2 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final against the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The shot from Hurricanes forward Nikolaj Ehlers hit McNabb near his visor while he was defending in front of goaltender Carter Hart. McNabb left the ice under his own power but did not return after the first intermission. ESPN reporter Emily Kaplan said he was transported for further evaluation, and the team had not yet provided an injury update.
