Texas Advances To Super Regionals After Dramatic Win

Austin, Texas — On Sunday the Texas Longhorns defeated UC Santa Barbara 6-4 at Disch-Falk Field to win the Austin Regional and advance to the NCAA Super Regionals. Ruger Riojas started for Texas and allowed one run over five innings, and Aiden Robbins hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning to break the tie. The Longhorns completed a 3-0 run through the Austin Regional this weekend, using seven pitchers overall and closing the final out with Luke Harrison. Concurrently, Kansas staged an 11-run comeback to beat Arkansas 13-10 in the Lawrence Regional; winners from regionals will proceed to the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament in the next phase of postseason play.
