TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — On Sunday night, May 31, Alabama defeated Oklahoma State 9-7 in 11 innings at Sewell-Thomas Stadium when catcher Brady Neal hit a two-out, three-run home run in the 11th inning. The victory clinched the Tuscaloosa Regional for No. 7-seeded Alabama and ended Oklahoma State’s run in the regional. Alabama (40-19) advances to the NCAA Super Regional and will host the best-of-three series, its first time hosting since 2006. The win followed Eric Hines’ eighth-inning tying homer and Neal’s key defensive play in the 10th; Florida State must beat St. John's twice on Monday, June 1, to potentially meet Alabama.
