Los Angeles — On Wednesday, LA28 organisers unveiled the full competition schedule for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, confirming 560 medal events across 23 sports to be contested over 14 days. The schedule sets the Opening Ceremony for August 15, 2028 and the Closing Ceremony for August 27, with wheelchair rugby beginning on August 13 and boccia on August 14. This week organisers highlighted more than 1,100 hours of competition at nearly 20 venues across seven zones, noted the debut of para climbing (added in 2024), and announced that ticket registration will begin in 2027. Officials, including LA28 Chief Athlete Officer Janet Evans, said no athletes will be eliminated before the opening ceremony, and the expanded programme includes three additional medal events.
