Washington. The U.S. military boarded the Iranian-flagged commercial oil tanker M/T Celestial Sea in the Gulf of Oman on Wednesday, searching and redirecting the vessel after CENTCOM reported it suspected the ship intended to transit to an Iranian port in violation of the American blockade. The action, described as at least the fifth boarding since the blockade began in mid-April, prompted CENTCOM to note it has redirected dozens of commercial vessels and released video of troops boarding by helicopter; meanwhile the Senate advanced legislation Tuesday to limit military action, and President Trump commented to Coast Guard Academy graduates this week.
