Weather Disrupts Missouri Boys Golf State Championships

Columbia and Springfield reported on Monday that multiple Missouri boys golf state championship events were affected by weather and opening-round play. In Columbia, Class 4 and Class 5 tournaments were postponed Monday and shortened to 18 holes for the next playable day, while in Springfield and Farmington Class 1 and Class 2 competitors completed opening rounds and posted leaderboards. This week organizers scheduled shortened finals and shotgun starts, with action at 10 a.m. in Columbia and a 7:30 a.m. shotgun for Class 2 final rounds; top four teams will receive trophies and the top 15 individuals and ties will earn all-state honors, and named players from Helias, Jefferson City, Fatima and other schools appeared among leaders and qualifiers.
