TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama swept the Tuscaloosa Regional this weekend, defeating USC Upstate 9-0 on Sunday, May 17, after opening the regional with an 8-0 run-rule win and beating Belmont 3-0 on Saturday, May 16. The No. 1 overall seed recorded three shutouts across the weekend at Rhoads Stadium. The Crimson Tide’s weekend pitching and power display secures a super regional to be hosted May 22–24 in Tuscaloosa; Alabama needs one win to advance to the Women’s College World Series. Key contributors included freshman Kaitlyn Pallozzi, Vic Morten (Moten) and multiple home-run hitters, and the super regional schedule will determine their next opponent.
