San Antonio star Wembanyama cleared for Game 5

The NBA has ruled that San Antonio Spurs center and 2024 Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama will not be suspended following his Flagrant 2 ejection in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The decision, confirmed ahead of tonight’s pivotal Game 5 at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, clears Wembanyama to start with the series tied 2-2. He was ejected in the fourth quarter of Game 4 for an elbow to the throat of Minnesota center Naz Reid. The winner of Game 5 will move one win away from facing the undefeated Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
