SEATTLE — Facing what seemed like a certain loss and another prolonged skid, the Mariners rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the Atlanta Braves 5-4 on Monday when Luke Raley hit a three-run homer off rookie JR Ritchie in the sixth and J.P. Crawford followed with a two-run, go-ahead shot off reliever Tyler Kinley. Raley's blast ended Ritchie's outing and gave Seattle life; Crawford's homer put the Mariners ahead for good. Seattle's bullpen, missing Gabe Speier and Matt Brash, secured the win as Jose A. Ferrer, Eduard Bazardo and Andres Muñoz combined to cover the final three innings. Logan Gilbert worked six innings, allowing four runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts, and he served up three solo homers in the top of the sixth to Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson and Austin Riley. Earlier, Atlanta loaded the bases in the fifth after a hit batter and two walks, but Josh Naylor grounded out to first to end the threat. Raley had entered the game with just two hits in 32 recent plate appearances and 13 strikeouts; after a walk and a flyout he swung at a 1-1 curveball and drove it into the right-field seats. Ritchie, who had walked four of his last five hitters, exited to an ovation from family and friends.
