Jasper, Ind. — A 24-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after Indiana State Police said he sent threatening messages on a Meta social-media platform directed at Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith. Detectives from the ISP Jasper Post identified the suspect, interviewed him at his place of employment, and conducted a vehicle search tied to the investigation. Following the arrest on April 30, 2026, officers reported finding suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle; the suspect, Joshua Wasson, was transported to the Dubois County Jail and is being held without bond. He faces a Level 6 felony intimidation charge and two misdemeanor counts, and authorities said the investigation remains active.
