Lubbock, Texas. Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby took an indefinite leave Monday to enter a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction, the university and Sorsby said in a joint statement; Sorsby had transferred to Texas Tech after playing at Cincinnati and beginning his college career at Indiana. The school said it is committed to supporting Sorsby's recovery; Cincinnati announced on Feb. 26 it would sue, alleging an NIL contract breach, and ESPN reported an NCAA inquiry this week.
