Jessie Eldridge scored the first of four Boston goals and Aerin Frankel made 30 saves to lead the Boston Fleet to a 4-0 victory over the New York Sirens on Saturday, closing the regular season. The win left Boston with a 16-5-4-5 record and preserved the team's chance to finish first if Seattle upsets Montreal. Boston, Montreal and the two-time defending champion Minnesota Frost have clinched postseason spots, while Toronto and Ottawa were scheduled to play later Saturday for the final berth. Frankel recorded her eighth shutout and extended a scoreless streak against the Sirens to 130:54; Eldridge’s goal was her 14th of the season and seventh in eight games, with an assist from Megan Keller.
