Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired on three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, according to Iranian media and a ship management company. Iranian state outlets reported that two of the ships were seized and were being taken to Iran, while a third vessel, identified as the Euphoria, was described as having become stranded on the Iranian coast. Separately, ship manager Technomar said the Liberian-registered container ship Epaminondas was approached and fired upon by a manned gunboat about 20 nautical miles off Oman, damaging its bridge. The company said all crew members were safe, with no injuries reported.
