KANSAS CITY, Mo. Patrick Mahomes attended the start of the Kansas City Chiefs' voluntary offseason program on Monday as he continues rehabilitation from torn ACL and LCL ligaments suffered Dec. 14. He underwent surgery with orthopedist Dr. Dan Cooper and has been working on rehabilitation in Kansas City this offseason. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Monday the team will 'play it by ear' regarding Mahomes' return and noted Mahomes is 'doing great' while remaining cautious. Mahomes has stated his goal is to play Week 1. The first two-week voluntary offseason phase focuses on strength, conditioning, meetings and rehab; the team also acquired Justin Fields earlier this offseason as experienced insurance.
