Minnesota, Oklahoma, Michigan Advance Toward NCAA Gymnastics Finals

Fort Worth, Texas. Minnesota clinched the program’s first NCAA women’s gymnastics finals appearance on Thursday night, advancing as the No. 13 seed and joining top seeds Oklahoma, Florida and LSU in the national final; Oklahoma led the semifinals with the day’s highest overall score, 198.3000, while individual athletes posted career-high routines. Oklahoma will compete for a fourth NCAA championship on Saturday after recording a season-high vault rotation and the top semifinal score; Faith Torrez won the all-around after stepping in, and Addison Fatta was limited by a hamstring strain. On April 17, Michigan’s men advanced to the NCAA Finals with a session team score of 324.623.
